These darling kids are way too cute, smile on demand and pose themselves too! Yes, they are for real. And they are the best little models! While we were talking about how we could stage the setting for these spring photos, Jen had the cutest idea to make bright, whimsical carrots. She went home and made them in one night! I was so thrilled at how darling they turned out and everyone was excited to use them in their pictures.

I must give a huge THANK YOU to the Jex family who assisted me with their bunnies all day! They did not realize what they were getting themselves into. They were so helpful and amazing! Wow! I can’t say enough how impressed I was with all their hard work.
Kailua Children’s Portraits: Bunny Session

What was first a simple idea for a day of mini photo sessions, turned into a huge Spring portrait event complete with real bunnies. Literally two hours after I approached my friend Ann and asked if I could take photos with her rabbits, my schedule was completely filled up. I did not even have the chance to put a shout out on the blog about it. Needless to say, I was thrilled that so many of my friends were just as excited as I was to have real “Easter bunny” photos taken.
Our bright, beautiful day was so fun and full of precious moments! Eleven families participated and the children were so cute to photograph when it was their turn to play with the bunnies. The reactions of each child was darling to watch as they ranged from tender, timid, loving, possessive to playful, bewildered, sweet, kind and a little unsure.
There are 10 families left for which I still need to post photos for. So this week will be dedicated to doing just that. Each day I will post a few images from one or more families. Here we go…
