For the little guys, the AYSO soccer season has come to an end. It was so much fun watching these kids grow as a team. I was amazed at the talent and drive that surfaced in those 7-year-old bodies! They inspire me!

Here are a few of my favorites from the Lightning Condors…

Belated Holiday

As I was looking through holiday photos of the past few months, I was thinking to myself, “I sure didn’t take many pictures of the family. Hmph.” Then I found a lone SD card sitting on my desk. It screamed, “look at me!” Sure enough, there they were. All of the pictures from Christmas!

So although a little late, I’m so happy to have found them, I wanted to post a belated holiday nugget.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!

December commencement ceremony at BYU-Hawaii last week was a colorful event! We had such a fun time celebrating with family & friends! Graduation is always so exciting and full of hope for the future. Even my little Pepper played happily with all the leis! What a joyous occasion!

Carrie’s shoes were…fabulous!

She’s having a baby girl! It was so wonderful to celebrate with Anastasia at her baby shower. I’m so excited for her. Little girls bring so much joy in the home! Here are a few photos from the happy event.

Happy Halloween!

Pumpkin carving before Halloween is a must in my household. The kids love it and, really, what’s not to love about goopy, gloppy seeds? This year we watched “Charlie Brown’s Halloween” with all of our cousins while we carved. Then we decorated sugar cookies as a bonus! We love to do that!

My favorite part of it all is baking and eating the pumpkin seeds. Although it was about 80 degrees in the house at 7:00 at night, my sister-in-law so graciously let me turn her oven on! Trust me, it was a big deal! And it was worth it. I love those pumpkin seeds!

The challenge is to frost the sugar cookies faster than this little dragon can eat them up.

To make delicious seeds:

sprinkle a bit of salt & pepper
*I like to add a dash of cumin
bake at a low temp for about an hour

Eat them all right away before someone else does. That’s it!
