Hawaii Sports Photography: Soccer Saturday

My boy’s life seems to revolve around soccer these days. We are either talking about it, playing it, or watching it. His first time learning the sport and total immersion does the trick. He now loves it and I love that he’s happy.

Hawaii Sports Photography: Soccer game

September 5, 2009 | Filed Under Children, Events | Comments Off on Hawaii Sports Photography: Soccer game

This past week I had the pleasure of shooting the Red Dragon’s first soccer game of the season. I don’t often shoot sports, but I can’t resist when its my own son’s team! Watching a bunch of 6 and 7 year olds chase the ball around was too fun. They are just so cute…and many of the boys had some really impressive moves.

Children’s Photography: Leina’s Birthday Party Part I

Anticipating a Movie Star theme, the girls arrived at the party all dressed up and ready to walk the red carpet. Acting as the paparazzi I photographed their walk-off…turned dance off.

After walking the red carpet, the girls freshened up in the “stars” dressing room. When it came time to wind down, concession stands were available with treats. Then they all settled in to watch a movie on the big screen. This Movie Star party was such a cute idea.

Hawaii Event Photography: Floating Lanterns

May 25, 2009 | Filed Under Events, Landscape | 2 Comments

Memorial Day evening a lantern lighting ceremony was held at Ala Moana Beach Park to honor and remember those who have passed on.
As my family looked on from their blanket on the sand, I waved good-bye and waded into the warm, calm water. Amidst the hundreds of people standing at the waters edge, it was such an experience to watch the floating lanterns drift out to sea. I was impressed by how polite the crowd was. It really added to the reverence of the evening.
