It had been many years since the Keawa family were all photographed together and this marked a special time. All of her family gathered together on Oahu to celebrate her birthday. Iwa was absolutely glowing while surrounded by all of her children and grandchildren. She is such a strong and amazing woman. I have so much admiration and respect for her. You have a beautiful family!
Some of the greatest joys a mother can have in life centers around her family. Here’s to Mother’s everywhere!

After a lovely vacation on Oahu, the Sievert Family ended their stay with a photo session. It was a gorgeous day at Lanikai Beach! The kids were so fun and really got into making some memorable photo ops! Loved my morning with them!

Janny Gibson: Hawaii’s Young Mother of the Year

When I heard the news, I could not think of a more deserving person. She is an incredible example and inspiration to me and to all those who know her. When life throws lemons, she truly makes lemonade! Her smile is contagious and her attitude towards life is amazing. 2012 marks a memorable year for Janny Gibson. She has such a big heart that reaches far beyond that of her own family. Chosen for Hawaii’s Young Mother of the Year award, Janny is sure to touch many more hearts this coming year.
It was a real joy to spend the morning photographing Janny and her beautiful family! Born and raised in Lanikai, she wanted to capture memories of her family at their beach. Documenting the moments their family had playing together was so tender and sweet. I’m glad to have been a part of that.
These are my favorite kind of family portraits! Laughter, love, playful interactions…some of the best things in family.
Infusing laughter into their daily routine is a natural part of life for the Gibsons! Once the kids started twirling and jumping around, they all joined in the silliness.
This is a beautiful picture. To me is says: togetherness.

I loved this photo session with Janica. It was a beautiful afternoon with glowing sunlight sinking behind the mountains. Absolutely perfect for her Senior Portrait photo session.
This is such a beautiful image. I love her smile and I love the way her whole face is glowing.
I love getting really creative with senior portraits. When I saw this field of purple leaves, already surreal looking, I knew we’d have some fun here.

Lively, fun and creative, the Christensen Family was a blast to take photos with. We headed up behind the Ko’olau Golf Course and spent some time hiking through the lush forest up the Old Pali Road trail. As a family who loves hiking together, it was a perfect place to capture their personalities and playfulness as a family.
